Check for ticks

When you are outdoors in Norway, hiking or camping, there is a relatively high chance that you will be bitten by ticks. Most tick bites are harmless and will leave a small red spot, but it can also lead to sickness. Therefore, we have some small tips that hopefully will prevent this from happening.

Do like the locals: check yourself thoroughly every evening, every nook and cranny. If you are unsure, let others check it for you.
They can be as small as a needle stick. If there is a tick, follow these instructions:

Step 1: Do not panic
Step 2: Use a tick tweezer and follow the instructions on the package to safely remove the tick. (they can be bought at a pharmacy)
