We aim to offer you the ultimate natural experience in Norway

We established Norway Adventures in 2004 because we discovered the magnificent multitude of natural resources available in our area with glaciers, mountains, fjords, cliffs, islands, and the sea while exploring with our children. Many tourists have not yet discovered these areas of natural beauty, and we want to share all of this with you.

Rogier van oorschot

Founder & owner, CEO, travel designer, guide

Speaks: Norwegian, Dutch, English, German

The outdoors has always been my passion, my mother took me to Norway when I was 11 year old, it was the trip that changed my life. In 2000 I moved to Norway, and with my education as a civil engineer/MBA, I found a job in the fjords. However, in 2004, I decided to make my passion into my career, and established Norway Adventures.

I create transforming experiences and take you on a journey in the Norwegian wilderness and culture, getting an in depth understanding of this amazing country. A city detox for city-dwellers, don’t worry we teach you how to tackle and enjoy this Viking heritage.

This way I enjoy and share my passion for wild nature, sports, people, culture, food and Norway. I love skiing, kayaking, hiking, fishing and cultural history in the many trips throughout the year. In between guiding I work on creating your perfect adventure vacation, while also tending to the sheep at our family farm.

I am looking forward to meeting you on your adventure in Norway!

In 2000 when we took the big step to move to Norway, I immediately felt at home here. I’m grateful for the overwhelming and untouched nature, fresh air, and a safe environment for the children to grow up. We have always taken our children Stijn (22), Ive (20) and Lotte (17) on adventures. When they were young we would go hiking behind our farm, or spend the day fishing on the fjord. Now we do multi-day expeditions together.

With my background in hotel and marketing management, as well as event manager, I joined Norway Adventures in 2016, mainly designing adventure vacations.

I am not the person for hard adventures but love to indulge in nature and culture; hiking with our dog Kira, cycling, kayaking, scenic drives, learning about the local culture and history, and exploring new things. Why walk in line with many tourists when you can go off the beaten track and meet the locals? I look forward to sharing my insider tips with you to create your dream vacation.

Velkommen til Norge!

I am an office employee and Norway Adventures guide. Growing up in the French Alps, I have loved the mountains ever since I was a child, Norway was the obvious place for me to study adventure travel, and after exploring the country, I decided that the fjords will be my new home. Now I want to share my passion and bring guests to the hidden gems of Norway.

I moved to Norway because of love, and now I am loving life wandering the streets of Bergen, indulging in all the traditional sweets, and picnicking in the mountains.

After having finished my degree in tourism management in The Netherlands, I started at Norway Adventures as part of the marketing and sales team. I’m excited to inspire you to explore Norway with us, because we’ve got lots to show you!

Back office, guide

Speaks: German, English, Norwegian

Nature has always attracted me since I was a small child. Norwegian Nature especially has drawn me close, and so I landed in the country of Fjords, Waterfalls and Wilderness to study.

With a degree in Outdoor Life, Culture- and Nature Guiding, I turned my passion into a job and can’t wait to share it with you. I love exploring wildlife and plants, enjoying local food and discovering cultural sites while being active with my body. To me, outdoor experiences are an interplay of feeling groundedness and connection to our natural surroundings and the people we get to share it with.

In between Guiding, I support the office team to create unique adventures.I invite you to experience the magnitude and authenticity of Norwegian nature together with us far from the masses!

Stijn van Oorschot

Project employee, guide

Speaks: Norwegian, English, Dutch

It might not surprise you, but my first job growing up was for Norway Adventures. My family’s passion for nature has rubbed off on me, experiencing it through climbing, hunting, skiing, hiking, or kayaking. Currently I am working on launching the Hornelen Via Ferrata-project, which is going to be epic.

Fun fact: I met Antoine studying Arctic Adventure Tourism in Alta, Norway, and convinced him to come work for Norway Adventures. I am currently finishing two master degrees, one in Strategy and Leadership at the Norwegian School of Economics, and another in International Management at CEMS. As part of these degrees, I am currently working from Bogota, Colombia, where I am on exchange. With the time-difference, the company is practically working all day and night to deliver you the best travel experiences.
